Finally, after postponing thrice, commenced the Photography tour to Malaysia & considering nearby Countries.
A delayed MAS (Malaysia Airlines) flight by 1 hour & 15 minutes yet managed to reach KL by 7:45 am Malaysia Standard Time (MST). Reached destination KL, Malaysia on 14th morning 7:40 am MST.
Malaysian Govt. & Tourism department always patronise foreigners to Visit Malaysia for Tour & to Explore the beauty, culture & traditions of Malaysia but, bad that Immigration officers is in an urge to ask, why are you visiting Malaysia? Even after interpreting them the exact purpose, Exploring Malaysia for Nature, Birds & Landscape Photography & also showcasing Culture, Traditions of Malaysia to the world through my photography yet I could see “A BIG QUESTION MARK ON his FACE” Pheeeewwwww!!! So, I presented my Business Card to him, after seeing my business card, I yet have to explain to him for his questions, that, I am a Free Lance Photographer & I only cover Nature, Birds & Landscape… & you guys will laugh for sure at his next question, “Which bird?” Lolzzz!!! I said, there is “Eagle Island” here in Langkawi & I would be exploring the island to find out different species of Eagles (if any) & to take some great shots of Eagles there… Nothing great but another “Big Question Mark on his face” HUH!!! Felt like, is he from Earth??? Grrrrr!
Anyway, Thanks to Lord Shiv ji, that, somehow he got convinced & I made my way to see KL city instead of his face & those Question Marks….
Food is another issue for Veggies here. Now, I am a Veggie & Thank God, the restaurant chef is from Nepal so I can explain to him in Hindi (Indian National Language). But, he said, he is not able to understand the food I want as it is not possible for him to serve Veg. food that is not in the menu. Emmmm! I, then, gave him a very simple recipe, “to take oil in the pan, add cumin seeds & let it fry for a while, take Sayo (Vegetables - in Malay language, i.e. Malaysian language) & Nasi (Rice - in Malay), mix them all & let them fry for a while by adding salt. DONE!!! My food was ready & served in next 10 mins. “No Prayers with Hungry Stomach” Felt nice after the meal & said Thanks to Shiv ji for helping me to get the food in strange land :)
Malaysia is an awesome country. People are peaceful & kind. Yes! There are good, bad & ugly everywhere, likewise, there are some bad too but, overall, I have come across 80% good people here so far :)
"Malaysia One” is the Tag line & which express the love for residents of Malaysia & visitors. Malaysia is formed with basically 3 tribes, Malay, Indian & Chinese & so they call it “Malaysia One” or Malaysia 1” Respecting all tribes & their culture, traditions, festivals, foods, costumes & all religious & non religious activities.
Malaysia has ample of Islands surrounded with Blue & Green Sea water & white sand. The water is so clear that, you can see the ground level & sea life through your naked eyes (NB: Places that are not too deep or nearby the islands & at times you will have to with swimming goggles).
Malaysia has 746 bird species + 59 in a row to count & identify.
So far, I could only hear the calls from Sparrows, Cuckoo & Robin this morning & yet to explore this new world of Birds. During my previous tour to Malaysia, I had taken a shot of Verditer Flycatcher in Kuala Terengganu.
I, so far have 100+ India Bird species only & hoping to get at least 300+ species from Malaysia from my this tour & of course looking for some Great shots….
